Hospital’s School-Based Health Center Sets Summer Clinic Hours - Carthage Area Hospital

Carthage High School to Host Health Services for Enrolled Students Through July, August

Carthage Area Hospital’s School-Based Health Center at Carthage High School, 36500 State Route 26, will have extended clinic hours during summer recess for students in the Carthage Middle, Carthage High and Beaver River schools.

Care is available at the clinic every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in July, beginning July 17 through August until school opens for the fall term.

Clinic staff can accommodate mandatory immunizations for school, athletic physicals, new student physicals and less acute, non-life-threatening regular sick cases. Appointments are recommended for physicals.

“We are pleased to offer the same trusted, quality care available to students during the school year through the summer months at our Carthage High School clinic,” said Melanie Saber, LMSW, Carthage Area Hospital’s School-Based Health Center program director. “We wish a safe and healthy summer break for all our students. Parents can rest assured knowing that care is available should children need it.”

A physician’s assistant and a licensed practical nurse will staff the clinic in July and August. Students who are not enrolled in the program can enroll during the summer. Parents can pick up enrollment packets at the school. Appointments are available on a walk-in or call-ahead basis.
