Maternity Service

Carthage Area Hospital Maternity Unit
Our hospital maternity ward offers the boutique experience of a small hospital coupled with a skilled and experienced staff. It provides labor, birth, recovery, and postnatal rooms, accommodating the unique healthcare needs that mothers and babies have in the days leading up to and after delivery. Unlike many other hospitals, women remain in the same room from delivery to after delivery. This continuity minimizes disruptions and fosters more comfortable care.
The maternity unit at Carthage Area Hospital features:
- Six birthing beds
- Two observation rooms
- Jacuzzi tub or stand-up shower in each birthing room
- Daybeds for partners and visitors
- Nutritional assessments
- Customized OB menu for patients
