Debra J. Williams, DPM

Debra J. Williams, DPM, is a Carthage native who graduated from Carthage High School. She is a 1982 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Physical Education. She earned a Master of Science in Exercise Science in 1984 from Iowa State University, Des Moines, and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1988 from Des Moines University. Dr. Williams completed a podiatric preceptorship in 1989 in Marshalltown, Iowa, and later that year returned to her hometown of Carthage to begin private practice.

She is the mother of two grown daughters, Kristy, 23, an occupational therapist who graduated this year from Gannon University, Erie, Pa., and Jacqueline, 20, an undergraduate student
at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she studies exercise science and plays Division 1 women’s lacrosse.

Outside of practice, Dr. Williams enjoys tennis, golf and cross-country skiing. She is an avid professional tennis fan and looks forward each year to attending the U.S. Open in Flushing, N.Y.
