The Carthage Area Hospital Foundation, a separate non-profit charitable corporation, was established in 1994 to promote and receive gifts to further continue excellence in community health care at Carthage Area Hospital. The Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that the Carthage Area retains a local hospital that delivers quality health care to members of its community.
Managed by a volunteer-based Board of Directors, the Carthage Area Hospital Foundation provides financial support to Carthage Area Hospital, as well as providing scholarship opportunities to students pursuing a career in health care. Financial donations and gifts made to the Foundation directly support the needs of the hospital and are used to purchase new and state-of-the-art equipment, provide capital improvement support, or to be earmarked for a particular service, department, overall operations, or specific project. All monetary gifts to the Carthage Area Hospital Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
