Anyone who’s ever broken a bone or had a baby or breast exam knows the significance of medical imaging. Medical imaging makes it possible to diagnose a condition, provide the progress of a baby’s development, and even save someone’s life. At Carthage Area Hospital, we take pride in our medical imaging facilities. We offer high-quality imaging for a range of medical specialties. About Our Department
Our medical imaging professionals work with the highest efficiency and precision to provide top-notch care. Our staff processes imaging for CT scans, ultrasounds, X-rays, MRIs, and mammograms. Since imaging is often the first step in diagnosis, we realize the importance of medical imaging and are proud to provide the best quality service and machinery.
All About Our Equipment
Every piece of equipment we use is modernized for superior patient comfort and processing information. We use a state of the art Philips Ingenuity 128-Slice CT scanner for detecting signs of cancer, blood disorders, and other ailments. For MRI scans, we rely on the Philips 1.5T MRI, which can provide detailed results and is optimized for complete patient comfort. We complete x-rays using the GE Optima 646 and ultrasounds on the Philips Affinity 70G. Both machines deliver excellent clarity, making them incredibly valuable for diagnostic purposes. Additionally, our equipment options also include a GE Optima 646 for X-rays, a Siemens mammography machine, a Philips Affinity 70G ultrasound machine, and a GE Prodigy Pro Bone Density machine.
