The Carthage Area Hospital Foundation was fortunate to benefit from the generosity of two local businesses, Carthage Savings & Loan and Fuller Insurance, whose initiative for fundraising during “Bow tie Tuesday for a Cause” is aimed at supporting community groups. Robert Sligar and Adam Fuller both possess that selfless service trait and commitment to the Carthage village which nests very well into the Foundation’s “Invest from Within” annual theme. The event was an outstanding way to get Hospital employees and community members to either don a Bow Tie every Tuesday of the month or sponsor some “Bow Tie Wearers”.
If asked, “What is your ultimate goal for your child?” the answer most commonly given is the goal to have healthy and happy children. Carthage Area Hospital’s Nutrition Department is implementing a nutrition program within Carthage Middle School through the Hospital’s School Based Health Center Program.
In an effort to position itself to accommodate the needs of its patients and in anticipation of relocating additional clinical services to the main campus, Carthage Area Hospital has moved their Billing and Accounting Offices off-site. Carthage Area Hospital’s Billing & Accounting offices are now located at 40 Franklin St., Suite 1A, Carthage, NY 13619, the former location previously occupied by Dr. Fish and Dr. Harvey. “The new location offers easier access for patients who come to pay or inquire on their bills, as well as increases our presence in the community,” said Taylour Scanlin, Carthage Area Hospital Marketing Director. Patients can still choose to pay their bills at the main campus at the reception desk located at the main entrance.
Carthage Area Hospital (CAH) would like to introduce, Board Certified Urologist, Felix T. Oben, MD, FACS as the latest addition to the CAH team. Dr. Oben will be seeing patients at the Carthage Area Hospital Urology Center, located at 3 Bridge St. in Carthage, as well as performing surgeries at the hospital. Dr. Oben comes to CAH from Oswego County Urology, PC, in Fulton, NY, a private practice in which he still practices.(Click the title above to view the full article)
