Carthage Area Hospital is excited to announce a clinical partnership that will bring world-class breast imaging and breast cancer diagnosis to the North Country. Hospital officials recently signed an agreement with Elizabeth Wende Breast Care, Rochester, which will open an imaging facility in the Carthage Professional Building.
Elizabeth Wende Breast Care will occupy clinical space at 3 Bridge St., Suite 1, which is presently being vacated by the hospital’s Tri-County Orthopedics clinic as it relocates to Suite 5 on the south side of the same building. Renovation for Elizabeth Wende Breast Care will soon begin with anticipated completion by the end of June.
The breast care center is now scheduling patients for appointments in Carthage beginning mid-July. Call 585-442-3922, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., to schedule an appointment or online at ewbc.com.
First in region with latest breast imaging technology
3D mammography with C-View is the standard of care at EWBC for all patients. The addition of C-View software allows for 3D imaging with a 40 percent reduction in radiation versus 3D imaging without C-View. 3D offers improved breast cancer detection and is beneficial for all patients, especially those with dense breast tissue or a higher risk of breast cancer.
