In line with this commitment, CAH has implemented a comprehensive tobacco-free policy applicable to all properties owned or leased by the hospital. This policy extends beyond indoor spaces, prohibiting tobacco use in personal vehicles, parking lots, roadways, and driveways on CAH premises.

Our tobacco-free policy encompasses a wide range of products, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, and chewing tobacco. This initiative is a key part of our mission to foster a healthier workforce and to underline our commitment to healthcare excellence, ensuring a conducive healing environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

The scope of this policy is broad, encompassing not just patients and visitors but also our dedicated employees, medical staff, students, instructors, volunteers, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and any non-CAH personnel assigned to temporary or permanent positions on CAH property.
