VISITOR Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care Services

It has long been recognized that when a person’s body is challenged by illness or injury, the mind and spirit (soul) are impacted. Not only does the mind and body need rehabilitation, the spirit also needs support in the healing process. Studies confirm that patients do better when spiritual support is included in their treatment. The Spiritual Care Department at Carthage Area Hospital works with the healthcare team in partnership with area clergy and our communities to provide spiritual care for patients and residents, for their families, and for staff.
