Register for the 29th Annual Carthage Savings Golf Classic - Carthage Area Hospital

Teams Filling Up Fast as July 27 Tournament at Carlowden Country Club Nears

Team and player registration for the 29th annual Carthage Savings Golf Classic is now open for the Friday, July 27, tournament at Carlowden Country Club, 4105 Carlowden Road, Carthage.

All efforts from the Golf Classic — special hole contests, auction items, participation, generous donations and partnerships — benefit the Carthage Area Hospital Foundation and its mission to ensure that Carthage Area Hospital continues to deliver quality local health care for its communities.

This year’s tournament proceeds are earmarked to help the hospital’s Ambulatory Surgical Unit purchase a high-definition operating room imaging tower. The roughly $92,000 suite of equipment delivers superior image-viewing for surgeons while performing endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. It also enables surgeons to capture high-definition photos and video and share imagery across multiple hospital networks.

Carthage Area Hospital and its foundation leadership credit the tournament’s lasting success to the continued support of presenting sponsor Carthage Savings and Loan Association and its executive team. Officials also thank Kinney Drugs, which has generously sponsored this year’s post-tournament dinner, and hole-in-one-level sponsor Alliance Healthcare Radiology.

The rain-or-shine event packs a full-day of fun, food and community fellowship. Tournament format is captain and crew, limited to 36 four-person teams. Some 144 golfers are expected to tee off for a cause as roughly two-dozen volunteers work to support the event. Golfers will have a shot at winning a new car from Caskinette Ford in a hole-in-one contest, among other contests.

Check-in on tournament day is at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Lunch is served on the course with dinner and awards following play.

Registration fee is $360 per team, or $90 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, two carts, golfers’ gift, coffee, snacks, lunch and post-play dinner.
