1.7 Million Americans are diagnosed with Diabetes each year according to the American Diabetes Association. For patients who are looking for ways to manage their Diabetes, Carthage Area Hospital’s Nutritional Department has a Diabetes Education Program just for you. Instructors include Registered Dietician, Carly Draper, RDN, CDE and Registered Nurse Molly Pleskach, RN. Classes are held the first Saturday of each month from 9am-2pm at the hospital. Patients will be required to have a referral from their Primary Care Provider. Topics include: Health Eating & Nutrition, Physical Activity & Impact, Benefits of Blood Glucose Monitoring, Medications, and Diabetes & Family.
