Carthage Area Hospital will offer patients additional convenience with expanded lab services at its Community Health Center, 117 North Mechanic St., beginning Monday, April 3.
“On-site lab service is another step we’ve taken to improve the overall patient experience,” said Mark DeCilles, director of outpatient clinics. “Patients will be able to easily complete lab draws after appointments under the same roof.”
The clinic-based service means patients will no longer have to travel to complete lab work. A new full-time phlebotomist has joined the clinic staff to handle lab draws at the downtown location. Lab services at the Hospital remain an option for all patients.
What’s more, patients from the any Carthage Area Hospital clinic or outside provider can walk in and access lab services at the 117 North Mechanic St. facility without an appointment. Lab patients need not be an existing Carthage Area Hospital or clinic patient.
Hours for lab services are 7 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. All forms of insurance are accepted.
