Carthage Area Hospital is a not-for-profit rural community hospital that has been in operation since 1965 serving residents throughout Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence County. We are also proud to be serving both civilian and military personnel and their families at Fort Drum. With the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum being one of only two military bases within the United States that does not have its own military hospital, we strive as a hospital to continue efforts in expanding and improving healthcare services and technologies for our dedicated soldiers.
This 78 bed facility, which includes a 30 bed Skilled Nursing Unit along with 25 extension clinics, is in need of a full time Administrator for Patient Care Services to oversee all nursing aspects of the hospital, including supervision of nurse managers and nursing supervisors. The successful candidate for this position must have a current Registered Nurse license and a BSN or BS degree. Masters in Healthcare Administration, MSN or MS preferred. Five years of nursing experience in a hospital setting with at least three years in acute care nursing management preferred. If ever needed to cover for nursing supervision, candidate would also need ACLS, PALS and NRP.
